Tanja R. Bisgaard (b. 1972) is a writer and founder of the publishing house, Krabat. She is born in Trinidad & Tobago and has lived in Brazil, Norway, Switzerland and the UK.
She writes fantasy, sci-fi and stories with a focus on climate change, environment and our future, aimed at children and young adults.
Tanja has a degree in Economics and has worked with sustainable innovation and growth for many years. One day when she was writing an important report for the OECD, she was told that she wrote way too creatively. Not long after she decided to become an author and now draws on her experience and knowledge when she writes climate fiction. She also loves to research and has a soft spot for books on Nordic mythology and the Viking Age.
