Synopsis

Splint is angry. He does not want to tidy up, he does not want to wash his hair, he does not want to eat cauliflower, but he wants to be angry and furious, and now he is going away.

“Where is Away?”, asks Sputnik.

“Away is somewhere where you can be alone and where you are able to decide for yourself”, Splint replies.

Splint and Sputnik find refuge in Olson’s garden shed and here they try to make themselves feel at home. But there is something or other missing. Because what do you actually need, before you feel at home?

Splint and Sputnik leave Home by Inger Tobiasen is a sweet and recognisable story about the urge to leave home and simultaneously the need to feel at home.
